I made this for use as a marinade for moose skewers, but it could easily be used as a salad dressing or just a spicy condiment.
Ingredients:
3/4 cup spruce tips
1 cup fresh basil
3 habanero peppers
1 tbsp sea salt
3 cloves garlic
1 cup olive oil
1 cup apple cider vinegar
This recipe of more of a suggestion, you can be creative with the ingredients and proportions. Any spicy pepper and fresh herbs will do. Try mixing it up with jalapeno and parsley or cilantro, or use less oil and vinegar for a thicker sauce to spread on steaks or chicken.
Instructions:
Couldn't be simpler! Put everything in a blender and blend it up!
I blended this one very smooth but you could just give it a quick few pulses if you want a rougher result.
I marinated moose blade steak for about 8 hours before skewering with pearl onions and grilling on the bbq, they were delicious! Tangy with a good spicy kick and a hint of the forest.
Serve with a nice green salad and a refreshing cocktail.
